Ukraine announced creation of medicine against a coronavirus

Ukraine is starting clinical research of a drug that helps in the fight against coronavirus, said on April 22 the office of the President of the country Vladimir Zelensky. According to the source, the developed agent, according to preliminary conclusions of Ukrainian scientists and manufacturers, can significantly reduce or completely neutralize the threat of death from complications caused in the human body coronavirus infection, the correspondent news agency reports. Zelensky himself has already stated that he believes in Ukrainian scientists and expressed hope that clinical trials will officially confirm the effectiveness of the drug. The Office of the President of Ukraine notes that more detailed information will be provided later. In particular, it is not yet even known who was engaged in the development of the drug. The news agency recalls that at the end of March in Ukraine there was a scandal when it was revealed that employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at the height of the coronavirus epidemic were sent on unpaid leave. Scientists from this department then stated that thanks to coronavirus deputies, officials and ordinary Ukrainians remembered that in the country there is science in which the state practically does not invest money.
