In Peru, 3625 people with COVID-19 were identified per day

In Peru, over the past day, 3625 new types of coronavirus have been identified, the press service of the Peruvian Ministry of Health reports. Thus, the total number of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections in Peruvian territory reached 275,989. To date, there are 10,762 patients in hospitals in Peru, of which 1,169 are in intensive care. Also, the number of deaths from COVID-19 complications in the country increased to 9,135. According to the news agency, earlier the Peruvian authorities decided to extend the state of emergency until the end of July due to the increase in the number of new types of coronavirus infected. In particular, the external borders in the country will remain closed until August 1.
