Landslides destroyed a lake in the Ivano-Frankivsk region in Ukraine

Lake Krivoe disappeared from the face of the earth due to the onset of a landslide in the Ivano-Frankivsk region in Ukraine. This was announced on June 24 by a number of Ukrainian media. According to preliminary information, in the village of Krivets in the Verkhovinsky district there were three landslides at once. One of them completely blocked the highway leading to the village and cut off people from the outside world. Two more landslides destroyed the natural dam around Lake Krivoe. Soil and garbage were demolished into the Black Cheremosh River. It is noted that Lake Krivoe was a local attraction, it was formed in 2008 as a result of the collapse of the northwestern part of Mount Magurka. Stones and soil blocked part of the channel of the Krivets River and a new reservoir was formed. Earlier, the news agency reported that in Ukraine, as a result of floods caused by heavy rains, 90 bridges and more than 100 km of roads were destroyed. Three people became victims of the disaster.
