Paid services decreased in Tajikistan

In the period January-May 2020, in Tajikistan, the volume of services provided to the population decreased to 4 billion 984.5 million somoni (483.9 million dollars), which is 1.8% less compared to the same indicator in 2019, the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan reports. At the same time, the percentage of services provided by state-owned enterprises to Tajikistan is 20.7% of the total volume of paid services. It is noted that the capital of Tajikistan, the city of Dushanbe, is leading in terms of the volume of paid services provided per capita: the volume of services is 5.1 times higher than the national average. During the reporting period, catering enterprises earned 450.6 million somoni ($43.7 million), which is 15.2% less compared to the same period in 2019.
