Trump assures Xi Jinping that he believes in China's strength in fighting coronavirus

US President Donald Trump said he was confident that the perseverance and strength of the PRC would help the country combat a new coronavirus infection. He did so on February 7 in a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, quoted by Reuters with reference to sources in the White House. It is also reported that during the conversation the leaders of China and the United States agreed that continued cooperation and interaction on a comprehensive basis is necessary. In addition, the parties were in favour of reaffirming their commitment to implement the first phase of the new trade agreement. According to the news agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping said earlier with Trump that Beijing intends to resolve trade and economic differences between China and the United States on the basis of equal rights of the parties.
