China's coastal areas shrouded in thick fog

China's National Meteorological Observatory extended the yellow level of weather hazard due to thick fog that enveloped coastal areas and parts of the south-west and north of the country, Xinhua news agency reported on May 23. Thick fog envelops the coastal areas of the Lyodong Peninsula, the Shandong Peninsula and the provinces of Liaoning, Hunan, as well as coastal parts off the Bohai Strait and the Yellow Sea, the National Meteorological Center of the PRC reported. Visibility in affected areas will be reduced to less than 1 km. Thick fog is also forecast in northern Liaoning Province and south-west Chongqing, visibility will fall to less than 200 metres. Drivers are advised to reduce the speed of movement in the interests of safety.

In Chinese Xinjiang, another 15 people were safely ill COVID-19

Not a single new confirmed case of COVID-19 was detected on the territory of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China, Xinhua News Agency reported on September 1. According to the regional health commission, no new asymptomatic cases of dangerous infection have also been detected in Xinjiang. Another 15 patients with a dangerous infection were discharged from the region for recovery for knocks. To date, 34 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and another 14 asymptomatic patients have been treated in Xinjiang. All of them are in the capital of the region, the city of Urumqi.
