The number of cases of COVID-19 in the world exceeded 16.5 million
The confirmed number of cases of coronavirus infection in the world exceeded 16.5 million, Johns Hopkins University reported on July 28. According to the report of the University's monitoring center, at the moment the number of cases of COVID-19 in the world is 16,540,137. 655,300 people died from the disease. The highest number of infections and deaths from COVID-19 is confirmed in the US 4,309,230 and 148,298, respectively. In second place is Brazil with 2,442,375 confirmed cases and 87,618 deaths from the disease. The third place in cases of coronavirus infection identified is India (1,480,073). The third place in terms of the number of victims COVID-19 in the UK (45,963). Data from Hopkins University differ more than information from the World Health Organization (WHO).
