There are no restrictions on mooring ships in the Iranian port of Chabahar

On July 30, a senior Iranian official said that there were no restrictions on mooring ships in the southeastern Iranian strategic port of Chabahar. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Behrouz Akai, Director General of the Port and Maritime Organization of the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Balochistan, said in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that seven ships carrying basic goods could simultaneously enter the port. After reaching the annual capacity of loading and unloading 8.5 million tons of cargo in the port of Shahid Beheshti (Chabahar), a big step was taken to facilitate trade between the countries of Central Asia and the states of South and Southeast Asia, the official said. Chabahar is the most important area in Iran, possessing the most modern equipment, and plays an important role in the unloading and transportation of goods.
