Watering rains claimed the life of one person in Chinese Chongqing
Due to heavy rains in the city of Chongqing in southwestern China, one person died, another was missing, Xinhua News Agency reported on July 2. Heavy rains led to the fact that more than 69 thousand local residents were affected by large water. A total of 2035 people were relocated to safe places, the municipal headquarters for flood control and drought control said. Showers also damaged 1251 hectares of grain stump, flooded at home and disrupted traffic in the city. Direct economic damage amounted to 73.32 million yuan (about $10.37 million).
